The Navy/BRAC Committee of SENEDIA will maintain an understanding of key events and influences within the Navy Leadership. The committee will also keep current on legislative initiatives and guidance, and progress toward, a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) action. The Navy/BRAC Committee will maintain liaison with the SENEDIA Naval Station Newport Committee, NUWC Committee and Community Interest Committee. The committee will:

• Establish local private and civil partnerships
• Maintain an understanding of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) organizational processes, infrastructure and initiative
• Establish interface with Navy leadership
• Maintain currency and recommend strategies on Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) 2005
• Maintain frequent liaison with other SENEDIA Committees
• Maintain liaison with other military Services that have a stake in the Southeastern New England area.
