The 9th Annual SENEDIA Golf Tournament was played on a beautiful sunny day on Friday September 2nd at the Fenner Hill Golf Course.
For the second straight year SEA CORP was able to take home First Place with a score of -13 under par, besting 16 other companies and 23 teams, for the title. The format was the patriotic Red/White/Blue Scramble. The SEA CORP Team ( Willner, Willner, Gardner, and Nazario) bogied only the 18th hole, but still managed to hold off a hard charging MRC Team ( at -12).
One of the highlights of the tournament was Vin Pinto’s (MRC) shot on the 17thHOLE par 4 where he drove the green and almost got a hole in one.
Laura DaLomba (KLR) was once again the winner of the Women’s Long drive for the second straight year. Patrick Ladd (SEACorp) won the Men’s Long Drive.
Seth Krueger (MRC) won $100 dinner at the Mooring Restaurant generously donated by CBIZ Tofias. Bill McCourt of Globe Composite was the big winner of the day when he took home the 50” Sony LED HDTV with BlueRay DVD player in the raffle. Mike Lopes (CCRI) won the highly sought after Golf Buddy Platinum GPS range finder.
The tournament was once again a big success raising almost $1000 for scholarships.
Special thanks go out to the key volunteers especially Kathy Pazera (SAIC), Ruth Davis (MRC), and Courtney Powers (MRC) for all their hard work in making this 9th year a success.
